Dr.Lipika Chablani

Dr. Lipika Chablani is a tenured associate professor approaching ten academic years at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Before joining the Fisher faculty, she earned her B.S. in pharmacy from the University of Mumbai in India. She moved to the United States to pursue a master’s degree at Campbell University, School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Chablani graduated with a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where she completed her dissertation on the formulation and evaluation of particulate breast cancer vaccines. She now serves as a pharmaceutics faculty member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Dr. ChabIani’s favorite course to teach is Compounding of Liquid and Solid Preparations, one of two lab-based courses in the entire curriculum that teaches students how to compound prescriptions through hands-on training — a skill only licensed pharmacists in the country are eligible to perform.
Dr. Chablani also leads an active research lab that focuses on developing and evaluating breast cancer vaccines. She opens her lab to pharmacy students who want to gain experience in oncology and immunology research.

Dr. Vivek Dave

Dr. Vivek Dave is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. In 2000, he earned his bachelor’s in pharmacy from the University of Pune in India, and in 2002, his master’s in pharmaceutical sciences from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India. In 2004, he moved to the United States to pursue his Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. After graduating in 2009, he worked as an application development scientist at Lubrizol Corporation, a specialty chemical company that manufactures pharmaceutical excipients. During his time there, he identified, planned, and executed research projects that contributed to understanding and developing applications for polymers in pharmaceutical dosage forms. In 2012, he joined the Fisher faculty as an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Today, he is the course coordinator and co-teaches courses in the pharmaceutics sequence.
Dr. Dave’s primary areas of research interests include excipient characterization (physical, chemical, and mechanical); solubility enhancement pre-formulation and formulation aspects of extended-release oral-solid dosage forms; and the use of non-invasive technologies in the evaluation of oral solid dosage forms. His favorite courses to teach are Pharmaceutics I and Pharmaceutics II, which examine dosage forms and drug delivery.
Dr. Dave serves as an invited peer reviewer for several scientific journals including the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Development and Technology, and Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy. He is also a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and Compaction Simulation Forum (CSF).

“The online Pharm.D. program at Fisher is a one-of-a-kind pharmacy program. My primary motivation, similar to teaching in-person through the campus pathway, comes from knowing that I have a small contribution in shaping the careers of future pharmacists. With online teaching, this motivation goes further, as I am able to impact careers on a geographically larger scale.”
Teaching has always been a passion of Dr. Dave’s, and he is excited to impart the principles of intellectual, professional, and civic integrity in the online program, and beyond.
In his spare time, Dr. Dave likes to read non-fiction books, watch movies, and listen to music — preferably classic rock.
Dr. Mindy Lull
Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Dr. Mindy Lull is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. She earned her bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher University in 2004. After completing her Ph.D. in pharmacology at Penn State, she pursued a postdoctoral fellowship position at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she researched the role of environmental chemicals on brain health and on the development of neurodegenerative diseases. In 2010, she returned to Fisher as a pharmaceutical faculty member.
Dr. Lull’s favorite course to teach is Systems Pharmacology IV, which covers all the disorders of the brain from anxiety to ADHD. Her primary areas of research interests include the impacts of health programs in areas such as health education, resources, and health care access on individuals in developing countries, particularly in Tanzania.

“I was initially drawn to teach at Fisher because of my experiences here as an undergraduate student. I wanted to have the opportunity to impact students in the way that my professors had impacted my own personal and professional development. The online program has given me the opportunity to try new teaching methods and interact with students from across the country.”

Outside of work, Dr. Lull is an avid hiker, traveler, and bookworm who enjoys spending time with her extended family, and her pets.
